Anna gained a degree in Fine Art from Coventry College of Art during the 1960's. The part of the course she enjoyed most was printmaking, but, for various reasons she did not pursue it on leaving college. Instead, under the name Ann Brain, she concentrated on oil painting (see separate entry). However, in 2009 Anna found that she was no longer enjoying her oil painting and decided to return to her first loves-drawing and printmaking. She exhibits regularly at The Gallery, Dunchurch near Rugby. She is a former chairman of the Association of Midland Artists,a founder member and past chairman of Rugby Artists' Group, a member of Leamington Studio Artists, Rugby and District Art Society and the Tantalus Project, and she also participates in Warwickshire Arts Week.
