Margaret Condon is a printmaker, delighting in etching but working also in most other print media, including woodcut and collagraph. Memory and loss and the overlays of time are recurrent themes running beneath the surface, worked in lighter mode with animals she has known and loved, or running more deeply through the use of metaphore. The natural world, poetry, and music, provide much of her inspiration, whether working figuratively or in the abstract. Recent projects include a Shakespearean interlude; and ‘discovery’, broadly interpreted. Her work has been included by selection in a number of 'Open' shows in Bristol, Birmingham and London including, in 2009, the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
