I was born in South Africa and came to painting and print-making late in my life. After doing a diploma in painting in Leamington College of Further Education, I was fortunate enough to spend a year in America where I studied painting and relief printing with international artists.
My work in both painting and print-making is very experimental and is often influenced by the colours of the African landscape and the imagery I saw in caves both in Africa and France. I use all sorts of media to achieve a layered effect to show the passage of time and hint at previous experiences.
I have exhibited in galleries throughout England and on three occasions have had work accepted for the Royal Academy summer show.
